James J. Hill's grandson, Jerome, had an affinity for film and the movie industry. Therefore, the auditorium that was later added was named in his honor.

The Jerome Hill Auditorium now functions as a multi-purpose meeting place for theater productions, conferences, classes, training sessions and lectures. The auditorium seats 267.
