Frauenshuh has been a longtime supporter of The Salvation Army thanks to David Frauenshuh’s longstanding commitment and relationship to the organization. David has been a staunch ally and perennial donor of The Salvation Army Northern Division since 2002 and serves on The Salvation Army’s national board of directors.

David is passionate about The Salvation Army because “of the breadth of its mission,” he said. “The Army touches on so many of the problems in society. My giving comes from my belief that I can’t out-give Jesus.”

Folds of Honor is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization that provides educational scholarships to families of military servicemen and women who have fallen or been disabled while on active duty in the United States Armed Forces.

In 2009, Park Nicollet Frauenshuh Cancer Center opened on Methodist Hospital’s campus in St. Louis Park, MN.

As part of GlobeServe’s outreach vision, the Frauenshuh Preparatory School was in March 2000 established at Adidome in the Volta Region of Ghana. The purpose of this school is to provide within walking distance an opportunity for children to grow and study in a well-defined and organized Christian environment. This will serve as a way to influence the future generation, and also to reach out to the current generation of adults through their children.

Bolder Options’ mission is to teach youth to succeed in all of life’s races. Our goal is to ensure that the promise of the youth in our community is realized — regardless of their life circumstances.

Bolder Options is a transformational mentoring program for at-promise, middle school aged youth in Minneapolis/St. Paul and Rochester. “At-promise” because: 75% of Bolder families are low-income, 86% are single-parent families with an average of three children, 70% of youth identify as people of color (primarily Black and Hispanic), and 28% speak a language other than English at home. Social workers and school counselors refer youth that could benefit from early intervention. Once we have identified youth who need support, we match them with volunteer mentors who meet with them every week for a year participating in healthy and fun activities planned by Bolder staff. Each pair sets physical health, academic, and social/emotional health goals. After meeting goals and staying together for at least one year, pairs graduate and are invited to stay involved through our Alumni Program. Because of the quality of the relationships developed, more than 90% of pairs choose to continue the relationship after graduation.
