Derek earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from Iowa State University. He enjoys working on his cars, snowboarding and camping. Derek has a passion for aviation and one-day wants to get his private pilot’s license to help navigate weekend getaways.

Responsibilities

Derek Flaherty currently works in the Property and Asset Management Group. He plays a pivotal role within the Frauenshuh and client managed portfolio including property management, tenant relations, financial reporting, budgeting, project management and involvement in leasing and marketing.

Experience

Prior to joining Frauenshuh, Derek worked as a Property Manager, where he managed a portfolio of 33 commercial buildings, amassing 1 million square feet and more than 200 tenants. The portfolio consisted of various mixed-use office and retail centers throughout the metropolitan area.  Derek helps compile financial packages for an apartment building in Maplewood in his free time. Derek has experience in both corporate finance settings, as well as Real Estate services where he got his start as a Loan Administrator.
