Jason holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Finance from the State University of New York at Fredonia. Jason is a licensed real estate salesperson in the state of Minnesota. Outside of work, Jason enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, hiking, and coaching youth hockey.

Jason Butterfield is Senior Director of Brokerage and Corporate Services with Frauenshuh Commercial Real Estate Group, where he advises corporate occupiers and institutional landlords on strategic office real estate decisions throughout the Twin Cities and broader Midwest market.

Experience

Jason specializes in complex office leasing assignments, and over the course of his 25+ year career, has completed more than 1,000 lease and sale transactions totaling over 8 million square feet and several hundred million dollars in aggregate consideration.

His expertise spans tenant representation, agency leasing, headquarters relocations, lease restructures, portfolio optimization, and investment leasing assignments. Known for his morket knowledge, analytical approach, and aggressive negotiation skills, Jason helps clients reduce occupancy costs, maximize asset value, and align real estate strategy with long-term business objectives. Jason is recognized for building long-term client relationships through responsive service, strategic insight, and consistent execution.

Jason has advised Fortune 500 companies, REITs, institutional investors, private equity real estate owners, and healthcare, technology, and financial services firms on complex real estate transactions and strategic occupancy decisions. Landlords including Frauenshuh, Equus Capital Partners, MetLife, Opus, Ryan Companies, and Ackerberg Group have benefited from his commitment to maximizing asset performance and investment value.
